Lady Hawks Claims Blow-Out Victory Over Nelson County, 16-3

Lady Hawks blew out Nelson County 16-3 on Thursday.

In the first inning, Lady Hawks got their offense started. Jordan McClure grounded out, scoring one run.

Lady Hawks notched six runs in the fourth inning. Lady Hawks batters contributing to the big inning included Emma BellKelsey HornbackPaige EvansAlexis Grimes, and McClure, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Sarah Jo Calhoun earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for Lady Hawks. She went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out four.

E Lanham toed the rubber for Nelson County. She allowed 21 hits and 15 runs over four innings, striking out one. K Crow threw one inning in relief.

Lady Hawks launched two home runs on the day. Bell had a dinger in the fourth inning. Lauren Pollard went for the long ball in the fifth inning.
